Writing with the Truth
A short random letter of encouragement for Christian writers.
I used to write a LOT of Victorian classical drama because I thought our era was lost, so I would "go back in time" through literature.
But then I realized that no one writes about our era.
Who preserves our century? Who will tell the next generations how we do things? Who will tell them about the hardships and joys of our time? I realized that humanity was being fed low-quality literature, and that people were hungry for something more real and wholesome. Not toxic literature. No literature that causes harm and gives victory to the Enemy.
I realized that the only ones telling our story were doing so without telling the Truth. Sadly, most authors are writing without reflectingβnot necessarily explicitly, but not figuratively eitherβ, what the Truth of His word is.
So I stopped "time traveling," and now I live in the present. Now I know that my purpose is to write modern stories worth preserving. Stories that build up, rather than lead to destruction. Stories that are alive because of Him and His sacrifice.
And I know I'm not the only one who has realized this need. So if you're one of those people writing with the Truth, keep going. It's not about us, it never was, but about Him. It's not for what we receive here, but for what we will receive in Eternity. The best of all hasn't even begun.

Random tip: DON'T PUT PINEAPPLE ON YOUR PIZZA. (I'm obsessed with this topic, I know, but I can't help it. I just don't like pineapple at all.)
This little rose? Well, it's not supposed to be a rose, but yeah, there are no poppy emojis, so I had to settle for a rose. There aren't even any yellow rose emojis!

Loved this! Thanks for the encouragement!
Just had to throw the pineapple in there, huh.
