I think sharing your stories is a selfless act done correctly. If one writes the story in a way to please the algorithm and attract as many views as possible, then yes it would be selfish. But the sharing of art can take quite a bit of courage, and I believe it is a very selfless act.

I am looking forward to seeing what you put out here on Substack! Talking with you has been fun so far. You definitely have a lot of things to add!

As for interests, I have a lot, and all of them are super geeky๐Ÿ˜‚ I guess I can start with my interest in old-school pulp fiction from 1900-1950. People like H. G. Wells, H. P. Lovecraft, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, etc. Theyโ€™ve written some of my favorite works and continue to inspire me. Looking at the history of pulp, it reminds me of what we have on websites like Wattpad, Royal Road, and, yes, even Substack. Authors come together to write fun stories, share ideas, and grow together.

Thank you for the cooking tip as well. Iโ€™ve been wanting to get into cooking lately, and this sounds like great advice๐Ÿ˜‚
